Afshan holds a bachelor’s degree in Family & Child Studies, with 6 years of experience as an Elementary School Teacher. After having 2 cesarean deliveries and 2 VBA2Cs (Vaginal Birth After 2 cesarean deliveries) of her own, she was drawn to supporting women through their birthing journey. Afshan completed her birth doula certification with DONA International and furthered her birthing experience by certifying with GentleBirth as a Childbirth Educator. She brings a calm and nurturing approach to empowering mothers as they prepare for pregnancy, birth, and beyond with the most up-to-date research, comfort techniques, and individualized support.
