Hello From Our Devoted Midwives

Kristin Mallon brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in nursing, midwifery, lactation, and childbirth support to her role at Maternal Resources. With her extensive background as a doula, trained in acupressure, hypnobirthing, and the Bradley method of childbirth, Kristin expertly leads the integrative aspect of our practice. Emphasizing a holistic and personalized approach and working in harmony with our skilled providers, Kristin encourages expectant mothers to benefit from the additional support, reassurance, and anxiety reduction that a midwife or doula can provide during labor.

Amanda earned her bachelor’s degree in science and nursing from Plattsburgh State. In pursuit of her goal, to provide evidence- based care to women throughout their lifespan, she earned her dual doctoral degree in midwifery and women’s health from Rutgers University. Prior to becoming a midwife, Amanda worked alongside the Maternal Resource providers as a registered nurse at Hackensack University Medical Center on labor and delivery.

Unlike other OBGYN's, we don’t work on volume. We take the time to get to know you and provide warm, personalized maternity care. At Maternal Resources, you become an extension of our family.

In-House Ultrasounds

No need to book a separate appointment for your ultrasound. At every appointment, we conduct ultrasounds, including an advanced level 2 scan at about 20 weeks, to continuously monitor your baby's well-being.

Integrative Care

Our skilled midwives offer additional personalized care and support. Additionally, we always involve your partner and work to create a customized plan for your overall mental and physical well-being.

Specialization in High-Risk Obstetrics

We specialize in maternal-fetal medicine (MFM). Our doctors have years of experience handling the most complex of pregnancies and obstetrics including vaginal births after cesarean section (VBAC), vaginal breech deliveries, and twin vaginal deliveries.

In-House Advanced Testing

Have the reassurance that your baby’s health is closely monitored with early gender & chromosomal testing as well as fetal echocardiograms that are performed by our in-house staff.

Had a great experience with this practice throughout my pregnancy and delivery of my daughter. Everyone, including all the doctors and staff, is very nice, efficient, and amazing experts at what they do. I was able to fully trust that I was in good hands. Having in-house ultrasound is so great, and they also gave me IV fluid treatments in their office when I struggled with hyperemesis during my first trimester. I always felt comfortable and well cared for during my each visit. Highly recommend this practice!

There aren’t enough stars to give this practice. From the first appointment to the postpartum care, the doctors and staff have been incredible. I love that they give you an ultrasound at each appointment...Although my delivery was complicated and did not go as planned, I felt I was in the best hands and they safely delivered my little girl. I also had some complications postpartum and the practice called weekly to check in and made room in their schedule to see me if they felt it was necessary. I feel like I hit the jackpot being a patient at this practice.

I researched many doctors while trying to get pregnant w/ my 1st. I wanted the best and I found it...During pregnancy I looked forward to my doctor appts - I loved getting sonograms every visit... Also, I had major anxiety surrounding labor/delivery so opted to have Raizy Green as my labor coach and I’m so thankful I did. I went into labor spontaneously 5 days early and she was by my side every step of labor/delivery (12 hours!!). Raizy’s positivity & motivation got me through it with a smile and happy tears. They made sure my baby and I were well taken care of and I’m so grateful. True professionals who really care about their patients. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Kristin is a phenomenal midwife...When I delivered my fifth child with no anesthesia, I began to 'lose it'...the pain was unbearable and I was sure I wasn't going to be able to endure it. Kristin brought me a sense of strength and showed me techniques to use during labor to help alleviate not only the pain I was feeling, but also help me focus my mind where it needed to be. I'm absolutely sure that without her, I would have lost my focus and ended up with an epidural that I didn't want. She's confident, kind, strong, and wise and I will forever be grateful for her presence and support to bring my daughter into the world.

There aren’t enough words to describe this practice. We had a great experience from the first heartbeat to delivery and I loved working with each one of the doctors, mid wife and staff. They are doing everything to make you feel comfortable and special. I knew from day 1 we were in good hands.

I truly cannot say enough good things about this office. The front desk staff immediately make me feel so welcome and comfortable when I arrive. And the care I have received from all of the providers has been some of the best I have had. They are so warm and always answer my millions of questions. I always leave feeling that I have received thorough care. The Hoboken office is super beautiful, clean, and convenient! I’m so glad I found them!
