Dr. Joel is a board-certified OBGYN MD who earned her doctoral degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Women’s Health at Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, NY.

Dr. Joel’s passion for science and medicine started at a young age, having been raised by two dedicated biology teachers. She completed her undergraduate degree in neuroscience and behavior cum laude at Barnard College, Columbia University. Even during her undergraduate studies, Dr. Joel was excited about the prospect of becoming an OBGYN and spent time during a semester abroad in Australia volunteering in the labor and delivery unit at the Royal Women’s Hospital.

During medical school, Dr. Joel conducted research projects aspiring to improve the management of obstetric hemorrhage and was awarded a blue ribbon for her poster presentation at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Annual Meeting. During residency, Dr. Joel was the recipient of the Resident Award from the Society for Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Joel currently resides in Bergen County and in her free time loves spending time with her family.
