Sonography

Maternal Resources uses the latest technology to uncover and resolve any risk factors quickly, ensuring the highest level of care.

Sonograms are done in-house at every office visit. Our goal is to detect any health problems, possible birth defects, or health concerns as early as possible, so the issues can be evaluated in a timely manner.

We have experienced ultrasound technicians and high-tech machines with the ability to perform 2D, 3D, and 4D scans to closely monitor your pregnancy, so you and your baby can stay healthy.

Anatomy Scan/Level II Ultrasounds

Anatomy scans are routinely done at around 20 weeks gestation. This scan focuses closely on fetal anatomy to be sure everything is growing and developing as it should. This can be used to detect some birth defects as well as any fetal health concerns.

Fetal Echocardiograms

A fetal echocardiogram is a highly specialized sonogram used to measure the function, shape, and development of your baby’s heart. A fetal echocardiogram works similarly to an ultrasound, using sound waves targeted at the fetal heart to create a reconstructed image. If an ultrasound detected abnormalities, certain medications were taken during pregnancy, or there is a history of heart disease or defects in the family, an echocardiogram can detect heart defects in the child, and appropriate measures can be taken.
